About:
Hargun Mahal Mann is a Bay Area-based visual artist working in painting, ink, and watercolor to explore myth, memory, and inheritance in women's lives.
Her practice moves from daily writing and drawing into layered paintings and installation, including a twenty-metre scroll of asemic script.
Mann holds an MFA in Applied Art from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She has exhibited across the Bay Area, including a solo show at Art Ark Gallery, San Jose, with work featured in Content Magazine, the Penn Journal of Arts and Sciences, and Women's United Art Magazine. She completed a rotating artist residency with the Cubberley Artist Studio Program in 2022.
