About:

Hargun Mahal Mann is an artist born in India, currently residing in California with her husband and two kids. She enjoys waterbased mediums like watercolors, ink and acrylics. The unpredictability of watercolors and ink makes her work spontaneous and fun. Her artistic expression stems from her experiences of living in various places in Africa and India. Issues like migration, femininity, body, and social interactions form the core of her explorations through art. In Africa, she learned pottery on the wheel and hand-built traditional African pots. Later, in the US, she focussed on finding her expressions in the abstraction of form and figures. She has BFA and MFA degrees in graphic design from Chandigarh College Of Fine Art, Panjab University in India.
